My biggest takeaway for this course has been the different roles the teacher plays. Not one class will be the same as the next, and all students will learn differently and pick up a new language at a different pace. It is important to include all students, regardless of their level of learning. By using the different teaching techniques (i.e. organizer, prompter, controller, participant), the teacher is more likely to engage a majority of the students-- as everyone learns differently. Knowing the language levels is helpful also- not only so the teacher knows how to do lessons, but also know the goals and struggles each student may have.
