This unit gave two very clear examples of what a good teaching session and a bad teaching session look like. The first session the teacher was unclear, non-engaging, didn't give enough time to answer questions then proceeded to ask more questions, is boring, rejects wrong answers, rushes the students, talks the whole time, is belittling, and doesn't make an effort to get to know the students or call on them by name.
The second session the teacher starts with getting to know each student, he is lively and more engaged, gives opportunity to answer questions or ask the questions in an manner that is easier to understand, he does the drills more clearly, re-emphasizes new words, underlines important points, goes over hard pronunciations, is more clear with the message, and allows the students to have more opportunity to talk and engage.
