This unit does an excellent job in highlighting the difference(s) and pro's found when comparing/contrasting authentic materials with created materials. The sample resources / worksheets are amazing and well-chosen, as it (should) give(s) new teachers the means to brainstorm other examples of useful authentic materials and ideas for created materials, geared to their creative strengths and students' needs. The section on course books might very well be the most important concept(s) for new teachers, as it should help them avoid the classic error of relying to much on the course book, like a crutch.
