It was good to review the various parts of speech that we take advantage of as native English speakers. It is important for the non-native students to be able to identify the different parts of speech since it may not necessarily come naturally to them. It is comforting that the teacher does not need to be a "walking grammar reference book," however I will continue to review the various parts of speech in order to come prepared to the classroom.
