I believe that the grammar for English is very straight forward, yet it is made difficult by exceptions. For example when I was learning Spanish verbs it was very difficult to learn all the tenses and moods. Looking at an English to Spanish dictionary I saw that English had relatively few, yet pages and pages of irregular verbs. I think it would be useful to show students a list of these irregulars instead of just teaching the baseline and correcting them when they use an irregular word, but on the other and it could be intimidating to try and memorize them all
