This unit covered dealing with common problems and hurdles as an TESL teacher. I would imagine the most common problem would be reluctant students. This can be helped by focusing on praise of what is done right more so than corrections. The students is most likely intimidated by the social pressure of being wrong so it is important to stress that making mistakes is okay and is a vital part of learning.
