Especially the grammar exceptions and irregular verbs are hard to remember, but i have managed to learn many of them by repeating them over and over until they completely stuck in my memory.
I learnt how to identify the parts of speech by thinking about what role the word plays in the sentence, which helps use the correct word order of sentences.
The new thing for me was that all verbs are either transitive and intransitive verbs. By thinking does the verb need to be followed by an object, verbs are pretty easy to distinguish the difference between transitive and intransitive. Example of transitive verb: I tear up the grammar book. I also found out that it`s important to see to difference between transitive and intransitive verbs, because it sometimes helps to see where do adverbs go in a sentences.
