I learnt from this unit to you should go to class prepared. You should have some board work started prior to the students arriving for the lesson as you will be more prepared and it will save time. You have to start your lesson friendly and with a smile. You have to introduce the topic of the lesson clearly during the engage phase and make all the students comfortable to participate then and later during the lesson. You should explain your lesson very well and keep asking questions in an unpredictable order to make sure that they are following and ask other students follow up questions about what the other students answer to make sure that they are listening and paying attention. It's also helpful to make use of mimes and visual aids during the lesson. When giving them an activity make sure that they understand what to do and help them with the first question before proceeding for them to work in pairs. Praise the students for when they are right and don't put them down when they are wrong and rather use their wrong answer later, where it is relevant. Don't rush the students when they should start finishing the activity but rather tell them to take their time and you could all finish it together. At the end of an activity give them all the right answers to the questions.
