The purpose of this unit was being able to combine the use of various classroom materials such as coursebooks, authentic materials, and lesson materials. Regardless of what may be in a coursebook, a teacher must be able to adjust the material to the needs of the students. In addition, the teacher must not be dependable on their own methods. They must be flexible to incorporate new ideas and sometimes create materials that they think would be suitable for their classroom.
