This unit taught me many technical things about English grammar that I was not aware of because I am a native speaker. The sheer amount of irregular verbs in the English language is baffling, especially considering that they are all very commonly used. The zero article was also interesting to learn because I was always frustrated when I was studying Italian that there were specific articles that needed to be placed there in other languages. Seeing this overview of English grammar is helpful to prepare me for what students who are not native speakers of English may find overwhelming.
