I feel that this unit opened up my mind to more possibilities of how teaching can go wrong. For example even if the teacher has a desire to teach well and participate and help as much as possible, the methods acquired might not be appropriate. The background of the learner is very important on deciding the approach to when the teacher should take to improve a class or the individual learner. Also, breaking down the teacher's role into specific subcategories really helps me, as a potential teacher, understand that teaching is more than just standing in front of a class and talking to students, but it is building observation skills and actively assessing the classroom.
