This unit is very important for someone like me who has no teaching experience. I learned that the importance of having a lesson plan is to be organized and to have some sort of structure to follow so you know what to do, what you want to achieve with the lesson, objectives for the student and me as a teacher, and to know which teaching ideas I could use. It's important for someone who is starting to teach English to have a plan. However, that plan should be flexible and have space for things that prompt during class. For example, the students may be immersed in a particular activity and having fun so I should not just stop it because of the plan, I should extend it a little bit more. Also, if the lesson takes another way because students are asking for something in particular, the plan should adjust to that and leave another lesson for later. It is important, however, that I prepare for any difficulty that may arise during class, so if I know a part of the lesson could cause problem or confusion for the students, I should prepare for it.
