I found this unit to be quite challenging! In this unit I learned about the various forms of conditionals, which are sentences containing if (or similar expressions) which refer to past, present and future possibilities. The differences between some of the forms can be quite subtle and I can understand why students would have a tendency to mix up the different conditional structures. I also learned about reported speech, which is an area of language that I had never thought much about. I was a bit surprised to realize that the way that the grammar changes in reported speech has been codified to such an extent that there is a sizable chart reflecting the various verb tense changes. In any case, although challenging, this unit presented a valuable overview of both Conditionals and reported speech.
