Unit 18 was a look into several different grammar concepts for English. Modal auxiliary verbs are meant to express a speakers attitude or feelings, and help us to better understand the urgency or certainty of what a speaker is conveying. The Passive voice is used to mean basically the same thing as the active voice, but it takes the focus off of the agent of the action. The phrasal verbs portion of this section was a little difficult for me personally. I couldn't honestly remember a lot of this from my previous lessons in English, but the information included in this unit seemed kind of vague on the definitions and examples. I had to pull up a separate video on Youtube to better understand the difference between the phrasal verbs.
