Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

From this Unit, I am introduced varies of methodologies which people use to teach English till now and get the strength and weakness of each of them. I knew the PPP is more effective in teaching at lower levels; CLT is always used in role play and simulation; In CLL, students will decide what to talk with sitting in a circle and teacher only offer help outside the circle; The silent way require the teacher says as little as possible. And then, I learned an effective way of teaching English in class, which is ‘ESA’ - Engage, Study and Active. In section of Engage, teachers need to get the students’ interested with games, music, interesting pictures and story etc. In the section of study, teacher need to teach the new language point starting with elicitation, presentation and exercises( worksheet). In the section of activate, teacher need to encourage the students to use the language they just learned to improve their fluency. There are ‘ Straight Arrow’ ESA lesson, ‘Booming’ ESA lesson and ‘Patchwork’ ESA lesson. The most useful part for me is about giving feedback and correction. I realized the praising is very important. At last, I got some notes of each section. I think the part about teacher needs to offering an example before doing exercise is quiet right. Because I used to have the problem that students didn’t get the idea of the exercise and I had to start it over.
