This unit focused on Conditionals and on reported speech. Conditionals allow us to use the word 'if' in combination with 5 different conditionals (Zero, 1, 2, 3, and mixed) which all have their different usages. The unit also provided some ideas for Study and Activate activities for teaching these concepts. The second section on Reported Speech explains that its speech that has been told to you already and you are reporting its concepts to another person. This practice comes with a rule set for how to manipulate the direct speech into reported speech. My main take away from this lesson is the chart on how to conjugate for reported speech. As a Native speaker I never really thought that about the fact that we changed many direct speech conjugations when we later report the information to another person.
