I feel that this unit was very helpful in breaking down why and how we use our receptive skills. Such as we could be reading or listening for two different reasons; purpose or pleasure. Or to ensure your students are engaged and listening, make the topic selection wide and interesting, further explaining the need to know your students individually. Help build sentence structure first so that they may use predictive skills to fill in the blanks and better understand the language.
