While reading the brief description about the unit from the PDF before watching the video, I was somehow under the impression that the first video was supposed to be the example of a "good" lesson while the second video would be examples of a sub-par lesson. As I watched the first video, I cringed through most of it, constantly telling myself over and over "there's no way this can possibly be the good lesson." I wasn't even a student in the class room and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I was very relieved by the time I made it to the second video, to see that the teacher's attitude had made a vast improvement. The overall classroom environment was much better as the students seemed more engaged, and understanding of the material being taught to them.
