The focus of this unit was on the present tense and its various forms. The present simple, the present perfect, the present continuous, and the present perfect continuous are all forms that are used daily for Native speakers of English, but can be difficult to grasp for non-Native speakers. Adding contractions on top of that furthers the confusion so it is important to understand what you are talking about as a teacher in order to properly impart upon the students the proper structure for creating sentences in the present tense. For myself, I feel that this unit was a good reminder on the difficulties of the English language in the context of memorizing 4 different methods of sentence structure and verb conjunction for the present tense alone.
