This was a very good and thorough review of basic grammar that a native English speaker does not think of. None of this is necessarily new material as it is second nature. However it is presented in a way that makes you think about the formula behind it. English, and language in general, is not just thrown together, but has a formula to help it make sense. The syntax is so specific and scientific, that with me having a math background makes it so much easier to break down. Knowing this formula is the most important, practical part of teaching because it helped me with knowing why a sentence is formed the way it is, even when before I would just say "because that is the way it is".
