Unit 2 provided an overview of the parts of speech. It was helpful to re-learn the building blocks of English grammar: adjectives, articles, adverbs, conjunctions, gerunds, nouns, prepositions, pronouns, and verbs. It made sense that there are only three (or four, depending on how you count) types of articles: a, an, the, and the zero article; somehow I couldn't believe that there were only three auxiliary verbs (be, do, & have). Some grammar-related sites refer to another set of "modal auxiliary verbs" - including words such as will, should, can, could, and might - and I imagine these will come up later in the course.
