This unit helped me recall and review the Present Simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect and Present Perfect Continuous. The unit explained the affirmative, negative, and question forms of each tense and the fundamental rules on how they are constructed. It also discussed their usages and some student errors that teachers commonly encounter. I was also able to pick up some great teaching ideas that I could use for my classes.
The present is not just one single moment in time, we use the present tense to talk about a period of time; something going on right at the moment, continuing to happen, or reflecting something in the past that is still relevant right now. This is why I think it is important to understand each tense and their differences so the timeline is clear.
