The purpose of this unit was to give an overview of the differences in teaching lessons depending on the make-up of the group that is being taught. For example younger students are going to in general have shorter attention spans than their adult counterparts, however, they have a greater capacity for learning a new language as proven by child psychology. Another important consideration is whether you are teaching a group or a one-on-one session. Each one has its own differences and expectations on how the class is run. My take away from this unit will be that when considering how to approach creating a lesson plan, it is important to consider not only the quality of the content, but the appropriateness to the age, profession, etc of the students that are being taught.
