When I was a child growing up on a farm in the middle of nowhere my family used to have a wonderful time dissecting sentences over the meal table. It is a fond memory and this unit really got me back into thinking about and remembering the many parts of speech and what I really enjoyed about it. At first, as I started to read, I was like, “Oh dear I am never going to remember this stuff again.” But then as I studied it all started to come back. I am going to re-read this unit over and over again as I feel because we don’t use this stuff everyday it is likely to disappear again and I felt very energised by delving into it again.
