The other two skills along with the receptive skills are the productive skills, which include speaking and writing. When focusing on speaking, a teacher can emphasize different aspects of speaking by using either accuracy activities which concentrate more on the correctness of the language, or with fluency activities that allow students to be more creative with the language to show their effectiveness with communication. As for writing, a whole different set of skills must be focused on. These will include handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation. Teachers may also teach various writing styles suitable for different goals, such as resume writing or creative writing. Regardless of which skill is being emphasized within a lesson, games can always be incorporated to make a class more engaging and less stale.
