In this unit we study the future tenses. They are the future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, going to future, present simple and present continuous. It can be challenging to get the students to understand all of them but the unit suggest very good teaching ideas for it. For example, you can ask them what will the take on vacation, what would they be doing, etc. The future simple is used for future facts, promises and predictions without evidence like "it'll rain before midnight". The future continuous is used to predict the present, refer to future events that have been decided and to say that something will be in progress at a particular time. The future perfect is used to say that something will be done by a certain time while the perfect continuous to say how long something will have continued by a certain time. Going to future is used to express intentions, plans and predictions with evidence. Also, we must take into consideration present simple and present continuous because they have future applications.
