I learned the ins and outs of grammar all over again in this unit. As the ITTT TEFL course materials mentioned, I am a native speaker of English, but I had forgotten how to explain most of the grammar that I use everyday. I already had a handle on nouns, adjectives, and basic verbs going into the course, but this unit was a significant reintroduction to many other concepts. I found prepositions especially interesting. This is because in Eastern Europe where I currently live, many non-native speakers consistently get these parts of speech wrong. I'm already starting to feel more equipped in helping local students with their language challenges, and I'm excited to deepen my understanding of prepositions, whether in this course or outside of it.
