English grammar has always been and still is a true challenge for almost everyone . As confusing and difficult it is to learn for foreigners ,the same ,sometimes is for a native English speaker .
The difference between both of them could probably be that as a native language, it comes naturally , where people subconsciously are making mistakes by the incorrect use of clauses, verbal phrases, modal verbs , auxiliaries or other lexical expressions in a sentence . On the other hand , as a second language ,the students who studied English in schools, are less likely to make the same mistakes , due to learning English flowing a certain school program and starting from zero . Not being exposed to any other kind of language other then their own , learners become more aware of the incorrect use of a word or any other parts of speech .
This unit ,to me , was very helpful by including this particular subject in its content .
