Breaking down different roles of a teacher is also a very good way for me to think about ways for a teacher to keep things moving and exciting in a classroom. A lot of classes in the US focus 100% on the lecture, but when learning a language there has to be participation, correction, observations, questions. Keeping in mind that a teacher does not have only one hat will help to remind me to keep things moving and keep the kids or learners involved.
