In this lesson I’ve learned the different roles a teacher will play in the classroom, knowing when a “good” teacher will use them and how. A good teacher will recognize when to play controller and when to act as the facilitator. We also reviewed what makes a good learner, how older and younger students differ as well as learners from other cultures, such as, Asia and those from Latin countries. I’ve gained knowledge on the levels of language fluency from beginner to advanced and anywhere in between, also briefly touched on reasons why one would want to learn English.
