This unit focused on the importance of lesson planning, especially for teachers who are starting out. Everyone may develop their own planning style over time, but for simplicity it is best to follow a formalized lesson plan (such as the one provided in the unit) while you are still figuring out what works best for you. My take away from this unit was that it is important not only to plan the content of the lesson, but also the flow. If the lesson doesn't flow from one section to the next smoothly, there will be jarring and awkward transitions.
