This unit focused on examination and evaluation. It is important to have a sense of where the students are at with their English language proficiency at the beginning of the course. From there consistent evaluation is important in measuring students progress throughout their time in the class. Practice tests can also be important, especially for preparing students for external examination such as the TOEIC or ESOL. My take away from this unit was that in general many teachers use smaller ore frequent tests for evaluations. I found this interesting because it allows for a more constant evaluation which gives yo as the teacher a better idea of the progress of the students, and it is easier to correct mistakes when you hear them or see them more often.
