Thus unit discussed the different types of course materials. It discussed at length the importance of textbooks, and how important it was for teachers to supplement with authentic materials and leveled materials for their students. This is important because it means that teachers can address their students' needs individually, and can make the course more personalized. It is helpful, however, to use a guided curriculum, which is leveled and tested and proven. Finding a good balance is key.
