My favorite classes to teach are the ones where the students do not know each other before hand. It is especially fun to create activities that allow the students to show off who they are the best way they can and see students form bonds naturally. As friendships develop, a teacher can use this information to their advantage. A teacher can use pairing the friends together as a reward for effort in other areas and give each group of friends a specific task that requires them both to use the skills that they have. The lesson does not really touch on how to properly introduce a new student to a class that is already familiar with each other. If you teach at a private language school, this is a very common occurrence as parents will enroll their students mid semester. I would like to read more information on this topic. A possible future lesson if it is not already mentioned in a different course for ITTT.
