This unit covered the various forms of the present tense. The present tense has four aspects: present simple, present perfect, present continuous, and present perfect continuous. The unit discussed the formation for each of these aspects for all three forms: affirmative, negative and question. Each section discussed the construction of each form, the common mistake that students make, and gave examples for great activities to utilize each one in the classroom.
I think this is the first lesson that's really hit me how important it is to be able to interpret the students' mistakes and their thought process so as to redirect them to the correct answer. Diagnosing the errors was an interesting part of this lesson.
