As a new teacher in an EFL classroom, particulary for beginners, I would get to know my students individually, as the conversation goes I encourage them to speak in English at the same time. Using gestures are essential on the first meeting. Learners would want to communicate with me first before I begin to help them learn to communicate in English. I should communicate clearly, directly and slowly as some of them do not understand subtly in English language and there may be times that I need to explain sensitive issues. For beginners, I am their text book and their study guide. I should also provide review sessions at the beginning of the class so learners will practice what they have learned and acquire the language. Teaching individuals are more informal than with groups without any classroom. Teachers should have a Needs Analysis and find out what exactly his/her student needs and/or wants to learn. Student often like conversational lessons, this is fine but teacher still need to plan for it. Talking is good but to be effective requires a structure. Teachers should prepare topic and make sure the content level is right for his/her student. Teachers must collect all necessary materials for them and their student. Individual teaching are prone to cancellation, so teachers should decide an exact time and let them know in advance. It is essential to set this rule in the beginning and stick to it. Preparing materials such as newspaper, magazines and photographs: these should be as provocative and interesting as possible so as to generate conversation and comment. Teaching in groups comprehensively achieve academic achievement. Teachers for the whole class should conduct a comprehensive understanding and analysis. Teachers could assign pair or group works exercising their fluency. Praise and encourage students on their achievement. Young learners have a shorter attention span and need more stimulation to keep them interested. Teachers need to their utmost to keep calm in the class as young learners tend to be noisy. Use more visual aids as possible like flashcards or toys. It is easier for them to see a picture and understand what it is rather than just hear a word and try to imagine it. Young learners are easily motivated by reward. If teachers can turn an activity into a competition with a prize (small rewards) it will motivate them. While adults, teachers should analyze their demographic information, attitudes, values and beliefs. What do they know and what did they know it. Adults see learning as a means to an end rather than an end in itself. Learning is voluntary, it must have meaning and it must have of direct and immediate value or they won't be interested. Teachers should focus on their needs, share something that helps clients to know you, acknowledge their feelings, create common ground, localize and customize your remarks. Adults bring a lots of experience with them and therefore they have something to contribute and something to lose. They are being accustomed with being active and direct. Teachers should aim for more cooperative and collaborative that supports adults sharing their experiences. I have learned that teaching Business English for special purposes, it is important to the teachers that they realise the goals first and foremost. Teachers should keep in mind that they are there to improve their clients English communication within a business setting. Most clients are adults, some clients pay for their own  courses tend to be more interested and motivated while some clients are sent by their employers. Keeping the class interested and engaged will be the first things one needs to do. It is more of student talking time. Using the office facilities such as telephone is fine for telephone etiquette. Role-plays are essential component of teaching business English, allow your clients to express themselves in a certain manner.
