This unit covered the present tense form of verbs; situations in which each are used and the rules for conjugating them. It also briefly gave examples of common student mistakes associated with each.
I feel that I now have a slightly better understanding of why a tense is more appropriate over another in a certain situation, but even as a native speaker, attempting to memorize the names of the tenses (present, past perfect, etc.) is a bit confusing. I would provide a handout as a reference, but would just tell students not to worry about the name of the tense and just understand the situations in which one would use each.
