Points about teaching a business course in English surprised me, but it makes sense that an entire department would include a variety of ages, motivation, attendance. In contrast to teaching children, who, at particular ages, are self-motivated, I can see why adults could be reticent to attend a required course. The challenge is also to take accomplished adults who are professionals in their field, and bring them back to a beginning level in language with due respect.
