This unit has been enlightening because of they way ESA is used to structure your lesson, it gives me a template to follow when I tackle a lesson plan. From the straight arrow lesson to boomerang there is enough flexibility to work within the guidelines of ESA. Allowing students to try and correct their own mistakes allows them to learn from their mistakes, rather than the teacher giving the student the answer. Having positive dialogue when we are in the correction phase, this will encourage the student to self correct.
