I have learnt in ''Past tenses'' unit about using past simple, past continious past perfect and past perfect continuous form. A teacher can explain to her/his students how to use these tenses in the sentence with a proper way. For example, past tense actions happen in the past and it indicates the completed actions. However, past continious show uncompleted events and it is used with the form was, were+ing forms. In past perfect tense,an action was completed (finished or "perfected") at some point in the past before something else happened. This tense is formed with the past tense form of "to have" (HAD) plus the past participle of the verb (which can be either regular or irregular in form). The past perfect continuous corresponds to the present perfect continuous, but with reference to a time earlier than 'before now'. As with the present perfect continuous, we are more interested in the process.
