Modal verbs are used to add meaning to the main verb. There are two main voices in English Language. Active and passive voices. Active voice places emphasis on the performer of the action whiles passive voice places emphasis or directs the focus of the sentence on the object pronoun. In both voices, the tense remain the same. A relative clause is an independent clause that modifies a noun. There are two types. Defining and non-defining relative clauses. Phrasal verbs are multi-word verbs that operate as one item. They can be transitive or intransitive. Transitive phrasal verbs can also be separable or inseparable.
