This unit stretched my own understanding of the english language. The concepts are quite complex in understanding the recorded speech and reverse engineering the direct statement. Often, conversationally, I would say that many native english speakers do not stick to these rules as they are mainly focused on conveying the overall message and may not stick to the exact proper verb tenses. Although, I see how this set of rules is useful to serve as a proper guideline to avoid possible miscommunication.
