This unit was very helpful and I learned a lot about how to plan lessons. I now know that lesson plans are important in order to plan your class, refer to during the class to keep it structured and organized, and to keep a record of what you have taught. I also learned the importance of flexibility as well as structure in a lesson, and how to balance the two. I learned what should be included in a lesson plan and was provided with an excellent template that includes procedure, phase, and timing. I should also keep a document that monitors and evaluates the lesson as it unfolds.
