This unit was about parts of speech. Each word in a sentence has a certain function an purpose that was briefly described. Examples are nouns, verbs, adjectives, conjunctions, particles, comparatives, articles, adverbs, gerunds, etc. It also briefly went over the normal order of adjectives when forming a sentence, namely, in order: size, age, color, material, noun.
In order to form a correct sentence in English you need to consider the parts of speech and make sure that they are used in the correct order and relation to one another.
*note*: quickly went over the difference between definite and indefinite articles which seem to be a big point of confusion for my ESL students.
