This unit was very helpful. I learnt a lot from watching the two videos. First of all, I learnt that the attitude of the teacher is very important for a successful lesson. It helps to set the overall mood for the class and get more engagement from the students. Second, before any activity is conducted, the students should fully understand the instructions so as not to cause confusion. In the second video, the teacher managed to succeed in getting the students to know what they should do by putting an example of the worksheet's question on the whiteboard and eliciting a correct answer from them. Finally, I learnt that organisation is key to having a successful lesson. From the first video, it is clear that the teacher was not organised and was in a rush for time. Whereas in the second video, there was ample time for each phase and for students to absorb the learning point.
