The Unit 19 touches on the teaching special groups such as beginners, individual students, children, business learners, multi- and monolingual classes. There are several categories of beginner students: the absolute beginners, the false beginners, the adults, the young beginners, the beginners without Roman alphabet. The methodology, techniques for teaching and possible problems and motivation tips - all this is provided and described in the Unit 19. Almost every English teacher sooner or later is likely to come across such form of teaching as individual lesson. It has a number of advantages for the teacher as there are no mixed levels in the students, needs can be clearly defined, students are highly motivated and its easier for the teacher to build rapport. There are possible drawbacks and disadvantages as well. In this unit we learn what activities are suitable for individuals and receive some suggestions for that kind of classes. Teaching children is said to be one of the most rewarding of all classes to teach as they can easily absorb the incoming information like a sponge. However, these classes require more responsibility and care from the teacher. Children need frequent changes of activities that are fun, exciting and encouraging to stimulate their curiosity. In this part of the unit we learn about some do's and don'ts for teaching children, tips for management and maintaining class discipline.
