Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

In this unit, I learned about modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. Modals include: can, can't, could, might, shall, should, would, must, have to, ought to, need to, need not. They are used before other verbs to add meaning. For example, "I might go shopping tomorrow." It is need before to explain that it is not certain that I will go shopping tomorrow. These verbs also show some formality. For example, "May I go to the bathroom?" is more formal than, "Can I go to the bathroom?" Phrasal verbs consist of a verb and one or two particles. There are three types of phrasal verbs: intransitive (he didn't show up), transitive separable (she took her on), and transitive inseparable (she got over it). Lastly, I learned about passive voice. Passive voice is used to focus on the action that is being done, and not the subject who has done the action. It can be used when you do not want to say who has done the action, when that information is not known, or when it is not important to know. For example, "Anna was murdered yesterday" is passive, because we might not know who murdered Anna yet.
