Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit covered the various teaching aids and resources which may be used in the classroom. Using a variety of equipment will help keep the students interested and give different challenges to the students - for example reading, writing, listening, watching for context. Using technology, such as podcasts, DVDs, or online sites such as youtube, as well as using course books, worksheets, dictionaries and flashcards, can all be beneficial in that they can make classes more effective than simply using a textbook, or using one piece of equipment again and again. When using technology, the equipment should always be tested prior to use, to make sure it works and it set up correctly according to the section you wish to demonstrate to the class. Visual aids such as photos and authentic materials can help to illicit language, and dictionaries can then be used for students to search for any words they are uncertain of. Carefully chosen scenes from DVDs, songs lyrics or poetry, can be used to prompt discussions, and students could create role play from these for the activate section of a lesson, and complete gap fill exercises for the study section of a lesson. Many of these teaching aids I would have chosen naturally when planning a lesson, but this unit highlighted some potentials I hadn't considered. I've never used an interactive whiteboard for example, so would be interested to undertake training to learn how to use one.
