The material covered in this unit was very familiar to me; however, one thing I learned in this unit about was the "zero article" . I have never heard about this before and I find it very interesting. Also gerunds were a bit confusing for me, so a review on the subject was very helpful. I like how the parts of speech were covered; simple and yet easy to understand. The different types of nouns such as common and proper are easy because they are very common and easy to learn. The compound, abstract, and collective, require more examples in order for a new student to understand and learn because new English learners lack the vocabulary necessary to learn these.
