In this unit, I have learned how to deal with possible challenges of EFL teachers. It is important that we are prepared whenever we encounter difficulties in the class. As a starter, teachers must build rapport with and get to know the students’ language level. In this case, it is easier to tailor the course to meet the needs of the class.
Warmers are important to build an energetic environment and to uplift the mood of the students. Warmer activities will help the students get motivated and inspired. Although regardless of how effective our warmers or methodologies may be, we have to take into consideration the different levels of students, large classes, use of native language, reluctant students and difficulties with listening texts. There are lots of useful ideas and activities on each area, important is teachers are prepared to face these challenges and be able troubleshoot any issues encountered.
